Julie Bevan
Julie was born in the valley town of Abertillery, where she attended the local grammar school, and later trained as a teacher in North Wales.
Having had a full-time teaching career in Gwent for many years, holding Music Co-ordinator and Senior Management positions, Julie now teaches on a part-time basis. She is still actively involved in Music projects both in school and in the community.
Julie had been accompanist to several choirs and operatic societies before joining Risca Male Choir in 1987. She continues to enjoy the challenge of the choir’s varied and stimulating repertoire.
